GENERAL ENGINE POLICIES

CORE POLICY
If a core deposit has been charged, that deposit will be credited back to the distributor when the core is returned, provided that the core:
• Is type-for-type;
• Is fully assembled with no broken or missing parts (except as noted under “Core Inspection”);
• Is not a “junkyard core;”
• Is returned within 90 days of the date of the original sales order;
• Is returned in the original carton (engine components) or on the original shipping skid (engines); and
• Has appropriate core documentation (referencing the new engine’s serial number) filled out and attached to the core engine.

All engine core credits will be made for the core deposit value originally paid. All component core credits will be made at our current published core deposit value in effect at the time of the return. Damaged cores may be eligible for partial credit. Refer to the core evaluation form for chargeback schedules and core deposits.  All cores are inspected and credits issued to the distributor within five (5) business days from Reviva’s receipt of core in its Minneapolis warehouse. Core credit will be delayed if Core Evaluation form and Core Return tag are not returned with the core or are inaccurate/incomple.

CORE INSPECTION
Reviva will perform an evaluation of the core when it is received. If there are any chargebacks based on the evaluation, then a copy of the core evaluation form will be faxed to the selling distributor the same day. All core credits are given directly to the account that was billed for the original purchase.

CORE RETURN PROCESS

The following documents are included in the core packet that is provided with each engine:

1. Core evaluation form and plastic bag

2. Core return tag

3. AFS Logistics straight bill of lading*

4. Customs form for Canadian shipments

The following procedures must be followed for all engine core returns:

1. An evaluation of the engine should be performed before shipment to Reviva, so that any potential deductions will be known beforehand.

2. Fill out applicable fields of the core evaluation form and core return tag.

3. Place the core evaluation form in the clear bag provided.

4. Fasten the core packet and core return tag securely to the engine core.

5. Fill out the AFS Logistics straight bill of lading and fax to 972-871-0789. They will schedule a carrier to pick up the core within 24-48 hours. If you have questions regarding the pick-up once it has been faxed, please call AFS at 972-871-8337 ext. 462.

6. Any questions, call the Reviva Core Department at (877) 357-7634.

Any core received without proper documentation may delay or prevent core credit.

Cylinder heads, crankshaft kits and selected high value small parts also have core documentation attached when sold. This documentation must be completed and attached to the returned core to assure proper credit.

*Please note: if core is received from a non-Reviva carrier, the difference between Reviva’s preferred rate and the non-approved rate will be deducted from the credit or charged back at a later date.
