Inventory Forecast Analyst
Reports to: VP Materials & Procurement
A growing international Parts distribution Company, located on Long Island NY, is looking an experienced Forecast Analyst/ Manager.
Prime responsibilities:
- Develop and Support the Implementation of a Forecast/Demand management tool
- Use the Demand management tool to Develop, Implement & Maintain 18 month forecasts at the SKU level
Report to the Senior management team, and stake holders, various business /dept relevant data to ensure forecast accuracy is continuously improved.
The right candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience developing SKU level replenishment forecasts, sales forecasts and Business financial forecasts, utilizing latest software tools such as Smart Forecast. A current working knowledge of the latest techniques being used in distribution forecast analysis is essential. Hands on experience with Intermittent demand forecasting and multi location distribution models is desired. Accreditation by the IBF would be considered favorably.
The desired candidate will use statistical analysis and statistical analysis tools as part of their day to day responsibilities, so a strong inclination to data handling and data mining techniques is expected, including excellent Excel and Access database skills.
